It’s a Kidzz World brings literacy, imagination and community together through programs designed to put inspiring stories into children’s hands and give them more ways to read, create, explore and belong.
100 Books for 100 Children
A simple goal with a lasting purpose: help more children receive stories that invite them to read, imagine and discover what is possible.
Every sponsored book places a key in another child’s hands, unlocking worlds of understanding, imagination, possibility and discovery.
Through community support and partnerships, we place books with children, families and organizations that can help those stories find the readers who need them.
Leave No Reader Behind
Every child deserves a way into the story.
Children grow into reading in different ways and at different times. We want stories and reading experiences that can meet children where they are, grow with them, and help them discover the joy of reading.
- Meet them where they are. Stories designed with different ages, reading levels and ways of experiencing a story in mind.
- Grow with them. Reading experiences that can continue to invite children in as their confidence, interests and skills grow.
- Help them discover the joy of reading. Imaginative stories that give children reasons to explore, participate and keep turning the page.
Growing the ways children can enter a story: Our developing reading initiative includes age- and reading-level editions, read-aloud experiences, bilingual and accessible editions, audiobooks, Discovery Books, activity books, journals and companion materials as appropriate. These formats will be introduced as they are developed and become available.
Stories are only the beginning.
IKW programs are designed to give children and families opportunities to interact with stories through creativity, discovery and connection.
Create & Discover
Sketching, journaling, activity and discovery experiences invite children to become participants in the stories rather than simply readers.
Families & Educators
Companion resources and shared reading experiences are being developed to help families, educators and community partners encourage curiosity and conversation.

Early conversations with Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi are helping us explore how technology could support creativity, storytelling and connection for children and families.
